I’m running The Sims 2 Deluxe on disc on a rather old Dell (that originally had Windows Vista as the OS) computer that had Windows 10 put on it a couple years ago. It installs just fine on my desktop, no problems, so it is not a problem with the DVD. The Sims 3: Deluxe Edition Into the Future + The Sims Store (2009-2013/PC/RUS) RePack R.G. I’ve been looking all over the internet but nobody seems to have the same problem as I do. I am away from home a lot, so this is on my laptop. I have changed up the drive letter on the DVD drive, uninstalled Alcohol 120%, have no antivirus software running, adaware, etc, turned off firewall and various other windows settings. I have rebooted and done this, copied the contents of the DVD to a folder and renamed it to the same name as the disk in the DVD drive, several other folder names I read online when doing a hard drive install, etc, and still no luck.

But when I put it in, theres 3 folders, (ones an image (the icon) the other is a text file, and the other is this HUGE folder) but theres no setup.exe and the only auto run is the picture. Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent (For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 or equivalent) Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: 128 MB of Video. I have the sims 4 and the installation always fails on origin, so I decided to try to download it with the disc.

So far, I have tried removing all programs running in the background besides necessary ones like explorer, rebooting, etc. Minimum: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: 64 Bit Required.

I know how to download custom content and mods but this is confusing me somehow.

I was so excited to find Sims 2 for free as I only grew up playing Sims 3. It is the DVD version, and only has this disk and the "bonus" disk. I tried to copy the Patch for the base game into the Sims 2 folder but it said I didnt have enough memory. If I click Cancel, it asks if I want to quit. If I click OK, it dings at me and pops the box up again. I just bought the Sims 2 Deluxe last night at Walmart, and when I start the installer (from autorun or from exploring the D drive and running autorun), it waits a few seconds and pops up with a dialog box that says: Please Insert Disk 1. All right, I have searched the forums, the internet, etc all night long, and can't find anyone with this exact same problem, so forgive me if it is a double post.
